Mrs. Lawrence is a Houston-based Behavioral Health Specialist and the Volunteer Coordinator for the CHOICES-TEEN research study. She received her bachelor’s in child and family studies from Baylor University in 2020 and her master’s in social work from Baylor University in 2024. She used her undergraduate skills to provide case management services and assisted families of children with disabilities with therapeutic goals. Mrs. Lawrence has used her clinical skills to provide crisis intervention to parents of children undergoing interviews for traumatic events. Mrs. Lawrence assists with the coordination of the CHOICES-TEEN project as well as with training and guidance for team members. She conducts clinical screening and assessments while also offering motivational interviewing-based intervention sessions to participants involved in CHOICES-TEEN. Mrs. Lawrence strives to merge the benefits of behavioral health and research practice to create a successful environment for participants and research studies.
