Fall 2024 Registration Dates for Graduate Students
July 30 Fee bills electronically distributed. Students notified by email.
August 21 – 25 Registration for all students who have not yet registered.
- Beginning Aug 23, $25 late fee in effect for all students not yet registered.
- Add/drops for registered and paid students. Add bills due 5pm, Aug 29.
August 23 Deadline for graduate students to be registered in absentia in the fall.
August 26 First class day.
August 26 – 29 Late registration for all students. $25 late fee in effect. Note: Late fee increases to $50 on August 30 and $200 on Sept 12. Add/drops for registered and paid students. Add bills due 5 pm, Sept 11.
August 26 – September 11 Delete drop period (refund period)
(First 12 class days) Classes added, dropped, and grade status changed online from Aug 26-Aug 29. Classes added, dropped, and grade status can changed in the department offering the course from Aug 30 – Sept 11.
August 29 Tuition and fee payment due by 5:00. Students with zero bills must confirm their registration via the Web to prevent cancellation.
September 11 The Twelfth Class Day. Last day to add a course or drop a course with a refund. Payment for added classes due by 5:00.
September 12 – 23 Q drop period. Courses may be dropped without academic penalty. Approval of the Graduate Adviser and Graduate Dean required.
September 24 – Dec 6 Q/F drop period. Dropping a course requires the approval of the instructor, who must assign a “Q” or “F,” the Graduate Adviser, and the Graduate Dean.
November 15 Last day to apply for a graduate degree. Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration to dissertation.
November 22 Last day a doctoral candidate may hold a dissertation defense for fall 2024.
November 25 Last day to change grade status to or from the credit/no credit basis.
December 6 Last day to submit final paperwork to Graduate School for graduation.
December 9 Last class day. This is the last day to drop a class or withdraw from the fall semester.
