About HNSA

The Hispanic Nursing Student Association (HNSA) is an official organization sponsored by the School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin. HNSA offers support and resources to students interested in pursuing a nursing degree. The purpose of HNSA is to promote academic, professional, and leadership skills by providing multiple social events, volunteering, and networking opportunities.  We work with the hispanic community

Mission

  1. To address cultural health disparities and the shortage of nurses by increasing the number of minority students into nursing baccalaureate programs.
  2. To prepare nursing students to excel in their academic career and leadership roles within the Hispanic community.

We believe our members will become the leaders of tomorrow and help resolve health disparities in the Hispanic community through their nursing careers.
