Women Ahead of Their Time (WATT)
At WATT we empower and inspire young women to set ambitious goals. We tell the stories of strong and relatable female role models in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). We want young women to feel they too can overcome challenges, study at top universities and succeed in important and challenging careers.
Our SheWasYou™ campaign tells the inspirational stories of women during their studies and early careers in STEM. These role models come from all over the world and are now building successful careers in various sectors (e.g. academia, industry, pharma, start-ups, business, etc). SheWasYou™ focuses on the challenges they overcame to achieve their success, showing that these women were not that different from you when they started.

The book has been supported by the L’Oréal UK and Ireland For Women In Science Fellowship.
You can read it online (below) at no cost, or get it on Amazon in Kindle and paperback editions.
New monitoring technology for guiding treatment in traumatic brain injury patients
The largest single cause of death in people under 40 in the developed world is traumatic brain injury, also rising with ageing populations (e.g. falls). Complex secondary changes can evolve in the injured brain, worsening outcome for the patient. Better monitoring technology is needed in neuro-critical care, to guide treatment.
InjuriSense is a project focused on improving patient safety during laparoscopic surgery. We are grateful to Texas Innovation Center and Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute for their support.
