Child Sex Trafficking in Texas: Experiences and Risk (2019)

Since 2016, IDVSA has studied the prevalence and impacts of human trafficking in the state of Texas. This study describes the prevalence and impact of child sex trafficking in 3 regions in Texas. For this study, researchers with IDVSA and the Bureau of Business Research at the IC2 Institute investigated the pathways to childhood sex trafficking, risks of victimization, and interactions with social services, among many other factors, through screening surveys and subsequent interviewing with survivors of childhood sexual exploitation.
