The IMVFW provides the military & veteran-connected community opportunities to engage with providers, peers and researchers. These opportunities are meant to encourage community connection and ensure the ongoing cycle of communities informing research, and ultimately, inform practice.
Current Opportunities
- The Veteran Spouse Network (VSN): The VSN is designed to offer opportunities for veteran spouses and family members to be involved in research studies that impact service members, veterans, their caregivers, and family members. This network serves as an ongoing advisory board for the program’s research and training efforts. Please contact Hannah O’Brien to get involved: hannahkob@austin.utexas.edu.
- All Hands-on Deck: Community Convening to Improve Research on Veteran Suicide Prevention: This PCORI-funded initiative, facilitates an opportunity for stakeholders to collaboratively design innovative engagement strategies to improve veteran suicide prevention research.
