Misha received a B.A. in Hispanic Studies (Linguistics emphasis) from Macalester College, also completing a History minor. For several years she worked as a medical interpreter before her career took a sharp left into software development. Those varied interests and experiences have led her to focus on Digital Libraries and Archives and the Digital Humanities. Misha joins the iSchool from her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska for Fall 2020, but looks forward to swimming, biking, and eating all the tacos in Austin as soon as possible. Due to a childhood of pop culture deprivation, Misha developed a number of antique pastimes like knitting, playing ten point pitch, and constantly having her nose stuck in a book.
