Kaibin Huang receives 2019 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award!

Prof. Kaibin Huang, recently promoted to Associate Professor at Hong Kong University, recently received the 2019 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award for his work on energy harvesting for communications.

Derya Malak joins the faculty of RPI

Derya Malak has joined the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New Jersey as an Asst Professor.  US News ranks it as one of the nation’s top 50 research universities, and it is known for the high quality of its students.

Named Cockrell Family Endowed Chair in Engineering

On Sept. 1, 2019, I was given the Cockrell Family Endowed Chair in Engineering (#17) by the Dean of the Cockrell School.  This generous endowment supports our group’s research and my salary.

2019 IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award

Citation: “for contributions to wireless communication systems”.
