We are currently seeking two Ph.D. graduate students for the following projects:
Project 1: Synthesis and characterization of polymer and composite-polymer electrolytes for lithium-metal batteries. This project focuses on interface chemistry, characterizing anode and cathode materials in solid-state electrolytes, and assessing the safety of lithium-metal solid-state batteries.
Project 2: Investigation of the structure-activity relationship in various electrochemical catalysts using operando techniques, including surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, scanning electrochemical microscopy, and differential electrochemical mass spectrometry.
If you are interested in joining my research group and working on these topics, please send me your CV.
Please note that the first step in the application process is to apply to the MS&E program at UT Austin. Once admitted, I will review your application during the admissions period to assess your fit among other candidates interested in joining my group. Keep in mind that final admissions decisions are made by the MS&E Graduate Committee. Learn more about our Materials Science & Engineering Graduate Program here.
