Lan Nguyen, an undergraduate researcher in the KRG, was awarded Best Presentation in Molecular Biosciences at the Fall 2023 UT Undergraduate Research Symposium for her presentation on “Exposure to Sublethal Concentrations of Silver Nanoparticles and Aqueous Silver Induce Antibiotic Resistance in Pseudomonas aeruginosa“. This symposium is hosted by a consortium of student groups including the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Society for Microbiology – UT Student Affiliate, Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Graduate Student Association, and Molecular Biosciences Post-Doctoral Student Association. Undergraduate researchers from UT and across Texas were invited to speak on their research in the biological and chemical sciences, participate in a Science Slam, and speak to representatives from graduate programs across Texas.
