Minority Women Pursuing Law

Since our founding in 2003, Minority Women Pursuing Law (MWPL) has aimed to unite and motivate all undergraduate students, although our key focus remains on minority women who are interested in law, justice, and obtaining a law degree.

Our organization desires to help prepare members for upcoming admissions processes and the kinds of experiences to expect during and after law school.  The creation of long-lasting networks of minority women like these will only benefit everybody at each step of their law journey.  Through law school tours, engagements, LSAT workshops, socials, volunteering, and personal mentorship, we hope to give as much law foundation as possible to our hopeful members.

There are no requirements to join!  You do not need to be well-versed with law technicalities and you do not have to be studying a law-related field to be a member!  We aim for our events to be as in-person as possible, but we will work with all COVID-19 guidelines the university and our collaborators set.

Interested?  Of course, you are.  Our information sessions are starting up soon, with our first coming up on August 31st! We’ll answer any questions you would like to shoot our way, along with getting to know you and your goals!
