Description: Duties include coordinating designing posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as tracking user statistics across these platforms. Social media interns also conduct interviews of LAH scholarship recipients and publish them either in writing or video.

Requirements:  Much of this can be done according to your schedule. Weekly meetings will be arranged.

Preferred qualifications: Experience posting on social media, conducting interviews, and making videos or designing graphics. $12/hr

At UT Austin, the university wide “Gone to Texas” tradition in front of the tower ushers in new students.  In LAH, we host a luncheon where our community of students, faculty, and staff break bread with each other.

Traditions of welcoming and hospitality vary across individuals, places, and cultures.  Reflecting on personal experience or representations of welcoming in film, literature, or history, describe a practice that has made an impression on you.  What is the significance of this type of ritual?
