Public Service Weekend – Bush School of Government & Public Service at TEXAS A&M

Bush School of Government & Public Service at TEXAS A&M is hosting an informational and networking event in College Station on Fri-Sat, October 21-22 for those interested in learning about and preparing for careers in public service.

Specifically, undergraduate students from Texas universities who exhibit leadership skills, support diversity, and have self-identified as future public servants interested in related fields are encouraged to attend:

Nonprofits * Government (federal, state, local) * Policy Areas in Education, Health, the Environment * Homeland Security * National Defense * Cybersecurity * INGOs * Disaster Response * Intelligence * Diplomacy * Conflict & Development * Int’l Economics * Int’l Politics * Regional Studies * and more!

WHAT:     Public Service Weekend

WHERE:   Texas A&M University campus in College Station

DATES:     October 21-22 (Fri-Sat), 2022

TIMES:    Start about 3:30 pm Friday and end 6:00 pm Saturday

Content: Over a half day Friday and all day Saturday, attendees participate in a faculty-led discussion, a career workshop, student-led activity, student panels, an alumni panel, an admissions and grad funding overview, and generally learn more about opportunities in the fields of public and international affairs. This event also gives attendees the chance to network with other student leaders across Texas.

Fuel your passion for public service while learning the next steps to take from professionals who live it!

If interested, please click on the website and application links above. The application asks you to fill out a few questions and upload a resume and short essay on why you want to attend this event. We will review applications as they are received and send acceptances as we can.

Of those who apply, about 30 students will be selected to attend. The Bush School will cover travel expenses, overnight lodging, and event meals (pre-pay or reimbursement).
