My name is Megan Tran, and I’m the editor-in-chief of The Daily Texan. As part of our semesterly recruitment process, I like to reach out to professors who teach writing heavy classes in search of particularly bright students. Professors always provide the best suggestions for potential writers, and it’s an invaluable part of our recruitment process.

In particular, I’m looking for students who stand out because of their writing, or who have a notable interest in social issues or the UT community, that would make valuable columnists for the Texan’s opinion department. They can be current students or ones from prior semesters. If you can think of anyone off the top of your head, I would really appreciate the opportunity to reach out to them personally.
