Islam and Religious Freedom in a Post-Christian America

Hi,

My name is Colin Crawford, and I am a representative of the Bech-Loughlin First Amendment Center at the University of Texas School of Law. I hope you are staying safe in this weather. I wanted to extend an invitation to our next event to you and your program. The event is called Islam and Religious Freedom in a Post-Christian America, and it will take place Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the Texas Union Theater. Professor, author, and attorney Asma Uddin (Catholic University of America Law School) will discuss what leads people to feel threatened by religious freedom for all and why Muslims in the United States are particularly vulnerable to this phenomenon. Most importantly, she will explore what can be done about it. She will be joined by award-winning journalist Emma Green of The New Yorker, whose writings on religion, politics, and cultural conflicts have won numerous prizes.
