UT Law Fair is an annual event that brings representatives from 110+ law schools to campus to recruit UT students. UT Law Fair is one of the largest school-sponsored law fairs in the nation! This is a unique opportunity to learn a great deal about many different law schools all in one day. Oftentimes the person at the booth is the same person who will be reading your application down the road! Law Fair is free and open to the public. Business casual dress is recommended.

COLUMBIA LAW SCHOOL INFO SESSION

Date: Wed, October 16, 2013

Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Location: Liberal Arts Career Services, FAC 18

Nicholas Everdell, Associate Director of Admissions of Columbia Law School, will be on campus for an Information Session. During the hour-long Session, an Admissions Officer will discuss in considerable detail the subtleties of Columbia’s selection process, as well as the Law School’s financial aid procedures, career placement services, our faculty and curriculum, and internships. This session is open to all majors and classifications.

NOTE: Columbia Law School recruiters will not be at the Law Fair.

This event is a great, low-pressure way to get useful advice and learn about all the opportunities LAH and UT have to offer :) So start brainstorming your questions and come on out to ask them next Wednesday in Welch Hall!

The Department of Economics is excited to announce its first annual Economics Career Forum coming up on November 1, 2013, 1-4 pm, followed by a networking reception. The Forum will feature panel sessions with Economics Alumni from a variety of career fields; we hope this will be a great opportunity for students interested in economics to learn about career options and network with successful alumni! Nominate Your Advisor for the Vick Academic Advising Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 Texas Exes James W. Vick Awards for Academic Advising. These $500 awards are provided annually for five undergraduate academic advisors from across the campus to promote quality advising at The University of Texas by publicly recognizing advisors who have had an effective, positive influence on the educational experience of university students. Recipients are selected by students and coordinated through the Texas Exes.
