BuzzFeed Austin Hiring Freelancers

BuzzFeed is opening an Austin office this Summer. This is not fake news!

They are currently looking for freelancers to both write and produce content, and illustrators/animators.
Graduating seniors this is your opportunity! A former LAHer, James Lamon, has been at BuzzFeed for over 3.5 years now, working in both New York and London.  He say “It is a good company and he’s learned a lot.  These roles will be content creators tasked with writing and producing a wide suite of entertainment and advertorial content (no journalism). A good candidate already has a strong presence on social media or some production experience, is funny and smart and loves learning new things, and is a good human being! It’s a great opportunity for someone to try a lot of different things and learn what they like.”

The Daily Texan

The Daily Texan is currently recruiting staff for this summer, and we’re seeking staffers to work in all departments (Opinion, News, Science&Tech, Life&Arts, Sports, Social Media, Podcast, Copy, Design, Photo and Tech).  We are currently reaching out to students as we try to build a staff representative of the university, and will send more information to those indicating interest on this form

The summer newspaper is a great, relaxed way to get introduced to the Texan, and we are very flexible in accommodating students’ summer plans. Those who indicate interest will receive tryout information at the end of the month.
