According to BBC News, the U.S. has raised tariffs on $50 billion in Chinese goods so far and was slated to levy 10% tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese goods starting Sept. 24, 2018 with the tariffs supposed to rise to 25% in January 2019. Moreover, Trump promised additional tariffs if China attempted to retaliate with their own tariffs. China did announce their own tariffs and Trump announced an additional $200 Billion on tariffs.
