Longhorn Music Camp offers online camp programs for students entering grades 7 through freshman year of college. All camps require at least one year of prior experience, and are taught by a mix of UT faculty, UT graduate students, and the very best music educators from across the state of Texas and beyond.
Middle School Band Camp
Middle School Band Camp is designed to accommodate musicians ranging from the most talented and proficient to the less experienced, with a minimum of one year of training on their chosen instrument. It is open to students entering grades 7, 8 or 9.
Middle School Saxophone Academy
Returning Summer 2022 – Middle School Saxophone Academy is open to graduates of grades 6, 7 or 8. Our outstanding saxophone faculty lead the students in a range of exciting activities including masterclasses and saxophone electives.
Middle/High School String Orchestra Camp
Returning Summer 2022 – Middle/High School String Orchestra Camp is designed to accommodate musicians ranging from the most talented and proficient to the less experienced, with a minimum of one year of training on their chosen instrument. It is open to students entering grades 7, 8, 9, or 10.
High School Music Camp
The High School Music Camps are designed for musicians seeking individual musical growth and enrichment with courses provided by Butler School faculty and graduate students. It is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11, 12, or freshman year in college.
High School Choir Camp
Returning Summer 2022 – The High School Choir Camp is open to choral students who are entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12. Intensive study of the upcoming All-State repertoire is the primary focus of this acclaimed program for high school singers. Students do not need to have previously been a member of a TMEA All-State choral ensemble.
High School Mariachi Camp
Returning Summer 2022 – The High School Mariachi program is designed to provide high school students with expert instruction from active Mariachi professionals. It is open to entering grades 10, 11 or 12. Instruction includes instrument-specific workshops, ensemble rehearsals, master classes, and performances.
