This year, we started the semester off slightly differently than previous years by throwing a pool party at the Greg Gym on campus! It was a great way to welcome the incoming ME grad students, and just might become a new tradition.

Building a Personal Website Workshop
Join MEGSB officer Rachel Moglen in an introduction to building a personal website. This workshop covers some examples of different personal websites, what content to include on your website, and an overview of some of the different hosting options (Squarespace, Google Sites, and Github Pages).

National Fellowship Workshop
The national fellowship workshop event took place on Sep. 9th, catered by Jason’s Deli. Thank you to the faculty and former award winners for sharing their knowledge and experience with us, and a special thanks to Dr. Tehrani for his introductory presentation! We hope that everyone who attended the workshop left with a full stomach and perhaps a bit more knowledge about how to craft a quality application.

Bowling for Pizza
The annual MEGSB Pizza and Bowling event went off without a hitch on Aug. 27th. Taking place at the Texas Union Underground, the event served as a great excuse for dozens of mechanical engineering students, both new and returning, to meet each other and show off their skills on the lanes. Big thanks to the venue for hosting, and to everyone that came out for making it a hit!
