Senior Program Coordinator, Early Childhood Specialist
Leah Davies, LMSW (she/her/hers) is one of the coordinators of the Thrive project at TIEMH, which focuses on the state systems and local coalitions that impact young children and their families in Texas. Leah is an active community volunteer, a proud parent, and a firm believer that people with lived experience are the foremost experts and should be engaged in all work related to their lives.
Leah received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with minors in Political Science and Women’s Studies from Texas A&M University where she also received an advanced certificate in the Sociology of Race & Ethnicity. Leah acquired her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on Community and Administrative Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin. She has worked in the human service field for over a decade and particularly enjoys building collaboration; and bringing attention and resources to groups who are underserved.
