Dina Barrish is a third-year journalism major with a Hebrew minor and business Spanish certificate from Chicago, Illinois. She currently interns with The Austin Chronicle, where she writes film reviews and features on Austin community events. Previously, she’s worked as a Life & Arts desk editor and Life & Arts reporter for The Daily Texan and a staff writer for ORANGE Magazine.
Human interest stories are Dina’s specialty. She might ask “why do we care?” or suggest you kick off your article with a compelling anecdote.
When she’s not on deadline, Dina loves spending time with friends, finding new coffee shops, listening to podcasts and bingeing “Gilmore Girls.” Dina can’t wait to read all your pieces, especially those Reporting Words stories!
