Neelam Bohra is a journalism and government senior from McKinney. She loves the adrenaline rush of breaking news and is obsessed with lede writing, and she’s indulged these obsessions as a national news intern for CNN, a reporting fellow for The Texas Tribune during the legislative session and an intern at the Austin Chronicle. She’s also worked as associate news editor at The Daily Texan and spent many hours in its basement as a reporter, editor, and on the diversity and inclusion board, where she tried to help expand coverage on marginalized communities without co-opting their voices.
If you need help working on AP style and grammar, perfecting your lede, or just need to talk out ideas, Neelam is around! In her free time, you can catch her reading bad young adult novels, rewatching sitcoms or listening to weird entertainment recap podcasts.
