Robert Quigley, an associate professor of practice, started The Drag, a podcasting production house within the University of Texas School of Journalism and Media, in 2019. The Drag gives students and professional journalists an opportunity to create long-form narrative podcasts in partnership with news organizations.
Quigley is a 16-year veteran of the print journalism industry who joined UT in 2011. He has taught Capstone in Podcasting, Audio Storytelling, Digital Innovations Capstone, Social Media Journalism, Reporting Words and Digital Storytelling Basics, as well as a cross-disciplinary mobile apps development course for journalism and computer science majors.
