Moritz Center for Societal Impact

The mission of the Moritz Center is to facilitate new research and collaboration by supporting interdisciplinary work among faculty, researchers, students and community partners.

The Center supports new research and programs that develop creative and effective solutions to advance communities’ needs related to housing, aging, disability, children and families, and global health and technology. The Center offers several programs to support the creation of project teams, develop new researchers, and facilitate the formation of research teams among UT faculty. The Moritz Center’s work is grounded in the assumption that solutions to societal problems are best developed through research with intersecting areas of focus. The Moritz Center is located at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work (SHS) at the University of Texas at Austin.
