Jason Kim Jason Kim is CEO of Firefly Aerospace. Firefly Aerospace is an end-to-end responsive, resilient, diversified space company with launch, lunar, and on-orbit missions. Firefly’s launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles allows the company to service the entire lifecycle of government and commercial missions from Low Earth Orbit to the Moon and beyond. Kim has a deep background in advancing autonomous systems starting with his tenure in acquisitions of Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles such as Global Hawk and Predator, Airborne Reconnaissance platforms such as the U-2, and growing to acquisitions and development of first-of-its-kind classified and unclassified Space and Ground Systems. He is a proven leader in the National Security Space market across all missions and customers. He has demonstrated his ability to grow companies, enhance company cultures, and turn businesses around while at Northrop Grumman Corporation, at Millennium Space Systems – A Boeing Company, and at Raytheon Technologies, with escalating levels of responsibilities resulting in year over year improved performance. Kim has breadth of experience in executive leadership, small satellites, large satellites, UAVs, mission payloads, ground systems, software, data processing, command and control, rocket launch, program management, systems engineering, prototyping, assembly and integration, testing, and operations of defense systems. He has the pulse on the Aerospace industry and understands the overall context in which the company fits in. He continually connects with external and internal stakeholders to align incentives towards effective mission solutions. He builds teams that can lead through high-pressure challenges. He provides thought leadership that makes a difference for the space industry. Kim has leadership training from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Air Force Institute of Technology, the U.S. Air Force, the Boeing Leadership Center, and UCLA Anderson School of Management, with technical degrees in Electrical Engineering. Kim has served on the board of several associations, currently serving on the Air Force Academy Foundation Board of Directors, serving as Executive Committee member for Space Workforce 2030, and is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
