Mr. Merrick Garb Merrick Garb serves as the U.S. Space Force’s first Branch Chief for Commercial, Civil, and Interagency Partnerships. As part of this role, he coordinates with NASA and the U.S. Department of Commerce. He also serves on the Defense Innovation Unit’s “State of the Space Industrial Base” working group. Merrick has nine years of experience developing Security Cooperation activities, including through Foreign Military Sales and cooperative research and development agreements, with eight international partners. He earned a Masters in Global Security Studies at Johns Hopkins University, where his coursework focused on emerging threats to U.S. National Security and the pivot to the Indo-Pacific region. His work experience includes providing communications expertise and policy research for elected and military officials in all levels of government: local, state, and federal. What unites these varying experiences is his results-oriented attitude, excellent writing and public speaking abilities, and the expertise to work with senior-level leadership effectively.
