- Arian’s paper titled “The influence of locomotor training on dynamic balance during steady-state walking post-stroke” was accepted for publication in the Journal of Biomechanics.
- Tunc’s paper titled “Neuromusculoskeletal simulation reveals abnormal rectus femoris-gluteus medius reflex coupling in post-stroke gait” was published in Frontiers in Neurology.
March
- Shelby’s paper titled “Predictors of shoulder pain in manual wheelchair users” was accepted for publication in Clinical Biomechanics.
- Ty presented his abstract titled “Knee joint loading during load carriage by individuals with below-knee amputation” at the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society Annual Conference.
- Lydia presented her abstract titled “Muscle contributions to late braking force in post-stroke hemiparetic gait: a simulation study” at the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society Annual Conference.
- Shelby presented her abstract titled “The influence of recovery hand pattern on shoulder joint forces in manual wheelchair users” at the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society Annual Conference.
- Corey presented his abstract titled “Analysis of relative motion between the socket and residuum in individuals with lower limb amputation: a pilot study” at the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society Annual Conference.
- Sarah presented her abstract titled “Muscle contributions to mediolateral foot placement during straight-line walking” at the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society Annual Conference and won the best poster award!
- Sarah and Lydia traveled to the Medical University of South Carolina to meet with research collaborators

- Dr. Neptune’s paper titled “Dynamic balance during human movement: measurement and control mechanisms” was accepted for publication in ASME Journal of Biomechanical Engineering.

- Lydia graduated with her M.S. and will continue to work toward her Ph.D.!

- The NMBL coordinated two events to introduce local high school students and teachers to the field of biomechanics as part of the 3rd Annual National Biomechanics Day.
