The Noble-Haeusslein Lab is committed to educating the Austin community through high school internship programs, community events and scientific outreach. Below are photos of some of the recent events and programs we are involved in:
The Neuroscience Studies Foundation High School Internship Program
The Neuroscience Studies Foundation aids progress in combatting neurodegenerative disease by encouraging talented female students at the high school senior and undergraduate levels (with focus on minority, economically disadvantaged, and first generation to college students) to pursue studies and careers in neuroscience and neurology. We had the pleasure of hosting a local high school student as part of this program in 2019. Interns in this program have the opportunity to work in the laboratory, gaining hands on skills while completing an individual project, attend seminars on a variety of scientific topics, and present their work to a wide audience.
