If you are interested in having your students contribute to Wikipedia as part of the activities for your class, you may want to consider working with Wiki Education. Instructors who sign up will have access to support materials to help guide their assignment.
If you would like to try running a Wikipedia assignment, follow these steps:
- Create an account at dashboard.wikiedu.org.
- Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be prompted to take Orientation for New Instructors. Please complete the orientation to learn more about the basics of running a Wikipedia assignment as well as the types of support you’ll receive from Wiki Education.
- After you complete the Orientation, you’ll be asked to set up and submit a course page on the Dashboard. Your course page will be the central hub for your Wikipedia assignment. It’s how you officially join the program, receive support, and keep track of the work your Students are doing on Wikipedia.
