Undergraduate Students
Thank you for showing interest in our lab! Working with us, you will gain a deeper appreciation for older adult development, learn about the research process, and build essential skills for your future career and/or graduate education.
Research Assistant responsibilities may include:
- Attend weekly lab meetings every Friday at 11 am (required)
- Help with data collection and participant interviews
- Transcribe and code sound files
- Work with surveys and questionnaires
- Review and edit research papers
- Conduct literature reviews
- Analyze research questions and develop a poster presentation for The Technology & Science Undergraduate Research Forum
- Learn about the research process!
HDFS Research Practicum (10 hours weekly):
To receive credit for the Research Practicum, you must enroll in HDF 655R (one-semester commitment) or HDF 355R (two-semester commitment). For more information, visit the Practicum and Research Practicum websites.
Volunteer (9 hours weekly):
Volunteers will not receive class credit. For those interested in joining our team as a volunteer, please fill out our Lab Group RA Questionnaire and send it to Dr. Fingerman at adultfamily@austin.utexas.edu. Please send your resume/c.v. as well.
