[Study concluded] Call for participants of the 2023 Stack Exchange strike

Are you currently, or were you previously, an active moderator or user on any Stack Exchange sites? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are a team of researchers at UT Austin, researching how communities collaborate to influence Stack Exchange’s AI-related policies and data access, with a particular focus on the 2023 strike related to the data dump. Your responses will help us understand online community members’ intention to govern the open-source content generated by them.

Email us at yw25689@utexas.edu to schedule an interview/phone call. We will ask you a few questions about your attitude towards the usage of data dumps and the strike process. The call should last around 60 minutes. You will receive a $25 Amazon gift card at the end of the call, as compensation for your time.

This study has been approved by the IRB office of UT Austin (#STUDY00006291). View our Research Approval Form.
