Blake Barber, DO

Andrew Kienstra, MD

Andrew Kienstra, MD, is Associate Medical Director for the Emergency Department at Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) and is a core faculty member for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He serves on numerous committees at DCMC and currently chairs the interdisciplinary case conference planning committees. Kienstra’s primary research interests include wound management and procedural sedation.

Winnie Whitaker, MD

Winnie T. Whitaker, M.D., FAAP, is the division director for pediatric emergency medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, where she is an associate professor of pediatrics. She also serves as the medical director of the emergency departments at both the central and north campuses of Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas in Austin, Texas. Whitaker’s primary focus is on fellow and faculty wellbeing and career development.  Her research interests comprise wound and pain management, as well as improving emergency department operations, including optimizing parental discharge instructions.
