Placeholder is a multi-part exhibition that paired Mexico City-based artist Victor Pérez-Rul and curator Leslie Moody Castro with a collaborative team of students to produce a project unique to the Visual Arts Center. The project has activated various disciplines representative within the team, including art, physics, engineering, architecture, education and design. Together the team collaborated to produce a work that transforms solar power into kinetics to mould its shape and produce sound, and the resulting piece is subtle in both its immersiveness and interactivity.
