Staff Hires

For staff, postdoc recruitment, and project staff hires, we ask that you submit your request to service@prc.utexas.edu, and one of the team members will contact you to discuss your posting.

Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral positions are allowed to have candidates directly hired into the position without the need for a job posting. In order to hire a candidate as a Postdoctoral , they must have earned their Ph.D. within the past three years. They are not allowed to hold that position for more than five years, including Postdoctoral Fellow employment at previous institutions. If the candidate is currently waiting for their Ph.D., we can place them in a temporary Research Fellow position. Procedures for hiring Research Titles can be found at the Research Titles at a Glance webpage provided by the Office of the Vice President for Research.

Research Associates

Research Associate positions require a job posting and recruitment efforts. They are allowed to serve as PIs on grants whereas postdocs cannot.

20-40 hours per week

Positions with 20 hours or more for longer than 4.5 months (135 days) will require recruitment efforts and benefits eligibility. Fringe benefit rate is currently 30.9%. Staff compensation rates depend on position title and level of education required for position.
