ST.ART Update — November 2022
After launching the ST.ART program in 2018 with support from the Department of Art and Art History and College of Fine Arts at UT Austin, ST.ART began offering opportunities for youth to engage with the arts, get a taste of college, and explore potential careers in the arts through our yearly summer season. Each year, ST.ART has awarded up to $50,000 in financial aid for participants, offered year round professional development programs for K-12 educators and schools, and a summer residency program for a local artist to receive studio space and teaching experience which launched in 2020. Striving to strengthen our local arts community, ST.ART has seasonally employed individuals at all levels of their career to gain experience as instructors, residential counselors, teaching assistants and in administrative roles.
Looking to summer 2023, ST.ART will no longer offer programs through or at The University of Texas at Austin. Our team is grateful to have worked with the exceptional faculty and staff at UT Austin and are looking forward to new possibilities.
