The Harry Ransom Center is excited to announce its second-year participation in Amplify Austin Day. Beginning on March 8 at 6 p.m., we will be asking for your help in raising $3,000 within a 24-hour period. We are proud to be a part of this community-wide effort to give back to the city of Austin. So mark your calendars and help support your community and the Ransom Center on this day of giving!
Proceeds raised will be used to support the Ransom Center’s upcoming exhibitions and programming. Last year, over 125,000 visitors, more than ever before, entered the Ransom Center’s galleries. With your generous support, we can continue to create engaging exhibitions that are free and open to the public such as our current exhibitions Look Inside: New Photography Acquisitions and Shakespeare in Print and Performance and our upcoming fall exhibition Elliott Erwitt: Home Around the World.
Hundreds of hours are spent prepping an exhibition for public view. The Ransom Center’s curators, archivists, librarians, conservators, docents, volunteers, and public affairs, marketing, education, and technology staff work together to create multifaceted exhibitions. With your help, we can further enhance the quality of our exhibitions and increase our ability to share them with the Austin community.
