The University of Texas at Austin and the Harry Ransom Center continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community, and we remain temporarily closed to the public at this time. Re-opening will be announced in accordance with the university and with proper safety measures in place to protect our valued community.
The temporary closure includes exhibition galleries, classrooms, and the Reading and Viewing Room. Also during this time, all events and tours are canceled.
During the closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center has prioritized its core research and teaching mission, providing modified research and reference services and expanded online resources.
The university continues to provide the latest information on a special COVID-19 Information and Resources for the UT community website, which includes safety measures and FAQs. Here are two other recommended sources that you and your family can consult to stay informed and up-to-date: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
Given the evolving nature of the situation, we will share updates as they become available. Please continue to check our website for new information. As always, please contact us by email or call 512-471-8944 if we can answer any questions.
We appreciate your support as we all work to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
