Dr. Rausch and Seungah presented their work, “Large-scale Institutional Building Deconstruction: A Case for the Importance of EPDs for Salvaged Materials,” at the 2025 Decon+Reuse Conference. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with a thoughtful and passionate community in deconstruction and reuse, exchange ideas, and gather insights for the next phase of our work. As part of the ETHIC project, DHL successfully hosted the 2025 Industrialized Housing Summit. The event featured insightful presentations and fostered meaningful discussions on the future of industrialized housing. A few agents from DHL had a site visit to the Texas Disposal Systems’ brand-new C&D waste recycling facility. We had a great opportunity to see, touch, and experience the waste diversion practices. We’re excited to apply the insights we gained from this visit to our research!
