Brandon and Gabe’s paper on the iR drop in SECCM is accepted in Faraday Discussion for Next Generation Nanoelectrochemistry iR drop can affect the accuracy of the measurement of electrode kinetics, which is especially important in determining mechanisms in electrocatalysis.

In this paper, we demonstrate several ways to estimate and compensate iR drop in SECCM measurement, which is a powerful technique in revealing the local variations in electrode kinetics. The method is validated by both experiments and simulations. The work will be presented at the Faraday Discussion: Next Generation Nanoelectrochemistry this fall.
