Application Eligibility and Instructions
In order to apply, you should:
- Be a US citizen, US national or permanent resident
- Submit a completed online application
- Submit an electronic copy of your updated resume to Risa Hartman at rhartman@che.utexas.edu
Application Deadline:
Applications for the Summer 2026 program are open. The application period will close on February 3rd, 2026.

Program Highlights
- Stipend: $1,000 per week (program to run 5.5 weeks in 2025)
- Additional $1,500 after the creation, test, and implementation of the engineering-based lesson in the classroom
- Optional participation for two summers
- Classroom supplies allowance to incorporate science experience into classroom and curriculum: $1000
- Anticipated dates of program: June 9 – July 16
