Byeongjin Kim

Graduate Research Assistant

Byeongjin is a first-year ECE M.S. student at UT Austin. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Korea Military Academy in Seoul, South Korea, in 2019. With five years of experience as an Army Officer in South Korea, he has contributed to several military projects regarding the development of AI-based surveillance systems and the re-establishment of drone corridors. His research interest focuses on GHz filters using piezoelectric thin films, with potential applications in military environments. He is a recipient of the Military Scholarship, awarded by Republic of Korea Army Headquarters.
