Are you an underrepresented or first-generation college student interested in getting a PhD in the social sciences or humanities? Well then the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship is for you!
- At least a sophomore (30 credit hours)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Plan to pursue a doctoral degree in a Mellon-approved field of study (Sociology is on this list)
- A complete application including 1) a statement of intent to pursue a doctoral degree, 2) a letter of recommendation from a prospective mentor, and 3) a resumé.
