The Office of Undergraduate Research and the Senate of College Councils invite students, faculty, and staff to participate in Research Week 2019, the annual university-wide celebration of undergraduate research and creative activity at UT Austin. Research Week 2019 will take place April 15-19. This year’s events will include college and departmental poster presentations, performances, special seminars on research-related topics, and the Longhorn Research Poster Session — an interdisciplinary event highlighting undergraduate work, research resources, and opportunities for students from all majors. For the first time, student presenters at the poster session will be in competition for $5000 in awards.
Please consider exploring opportunities to present during Research Week, either at a college or program event or at the Longhorn Research Poster Session. Students who are interested in participating in the Poster Session may submit an abstract through this online submission form through Feb. 28. Students who plan to present a research poster should register to attend a poster design workshop through the Office of Undergraduate Research if they have not already had poster design training through their academic programs.
If you have any questions about Research Week 2019, submitting an abstract, or presenting your work, you can contact the Office of Undergraduate Research at 512-471-7152 or uresearch@austin.utexas.edu.
As colleges, programs, research units, and student organizations register events for Research Week 2019, the online events calendar will be updated with a full list of registered events.
