Casa de Esperanza is a non-profit in Houston, Texas that provides residential care to children (newborn through six years old) who are in crisis due to abuse, neglect, or the effects of HIV. Care is provided by the Hands of Hope interns, who come from all over the United States to be part of this program.
These interns, most of whom are recent college graduates, join Casa de Esperanza for a year of service (a twelve-month, full-time, post-graduation internship). Applicants wishing to complete shorter internships are considered on a case by case basis.
On-site housing is provided so that interns may live with the children they are caring for.
