I’m a research assistant at the Gender Health Equity Lab (the director of our lab is Dr. Liesl Nydegger of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education whom I’ve cc’d here). We’re currently looking to recruit transgender Black and Latinx participants in Texas to complete a survey. Our goal is to gather experiences surrounding discrimination, medical mistrust, language barriers, intimate partner violence and internalized feelings among the Black and Latinx transgender communities. A part of the survey is also dedicated towards interest surrounding PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a preventive HIV medication.
