Floyd Hoelting & DHFS staff

Floyd Hoelting, executive director of the Division of Housing and Food Service (DHFS), was recognized as a Distinguished Alumni from Emporia State University. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes excellence in a variety of professions and is the highest honor that can be granted to an Emporia State University graduate.

Rene RodriguezHousing and Food Service, received a UT Management Essentials Certificate from the CareerSmart Professional Development Program.

Sara Weber, Counseling and Mental Health Center, has attained certification as an Eating Disorder Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

DHFS Human Resources and Food Service were selected for the Capital Area Workforce Solutions Employer of Excellence Award for 2012. The award honors a Travis County employer whose efforts and initiatives have had a positive impact on the workforce system, regional economy, workers and the community.

Voices Against Violence, a program of the Counseling and Mental Health Center, was selected as the “Featured Agency” for the September issue of the Sexual Assault Family Violence Investigator. Jane Bost, associate director, authored the article for the issue.
