Edna Domínguez, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, was appointed to a two-year term to the NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) Region III Board as the Student Affairs Development and External Relations Knowledge Community Representative.

Ivana Grahovac, The Center for Students in Recovery, received the Mac McLester Spirit of Recovery Award at Austin Recovery. This award honors the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the local recovery community this year.

Julie Lucas, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, presented “Student Engagement: The Power of Play,” at the Deliver Your Case lunch series as part of the CASE District IV conference.

Courtney McElroy, Housing and Food Service, served as a facilitator for the Change Institute: Transforming Self and Community, a two-day student leadership experience with The Leadership and Ethics Institute in the Office of the Dean of Students. It focused on issues related to diversity, social justice and social responsibility.

She was nominated by her peers in Building Services and Residence Life for the care and concern she shows each and every student when responding to any situation.
