True Colors® Tips

Registration Open for True Colors® Communication Workshop

An outcome of our Strategic Plan is to create an ongoing Division-wide education program. We are well on our way with our True Colors® workshops. All Division employees are required to participate in the Personal Success Workshop, which we’ll offer to new employees in April. Stay tuned for details.

To further your True Colors® skill set, we are also offering a True Colors® Communication Workshop on Thurs., Feb. 19, 1-3 p.m., in the Texas Union Quadrangle Room (UNB 3.304).

True Colors® can be used as a guide for enhancing communication in the workplace, setting individuals and organizations up for success.

In the True Colors® Communication Workshop, participants will identify their own communication styles, as well as discover strategies for improving communication skills and interactions with colleagues.

Staff will acquire an understanding of communication styles as they relate to their True Colors® spectrum. That includes developing insight and tools to strengthen rapport and boost listening skills. Participants will also increase their competency for clear communication in order to improve relationships and performance in work settings.

This professional development opportunity is voluntary and each workshop is limited to 40 Division employees. Please register through UT Direct, Course VS102 (True Colors® Communication). We will also offer True Colors® Communication Workshops on March 17 and April 22.

If you are interested in a True Colors® Teambuilding Workshop, please make your request by emailing the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. These sessions will be customized to the department or work group.

Finally, I want to thank our great team of True Colors® Facilitators. They have committed their time, dedication and energy to make our program a success.
