“A Tip of the Hat to…”
… Courtney Howard and Robert Valdez, Housing and Food Service, who received this note from Leticia Acosta with the McCombs School of Business Subiendo and Hispanic Leadership Initiative: “I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for making our stay in Jester this summer so wonderful! This truly was the best experience we have ever had at the dorm, and I can’t say thank you enough for being available, helpful in making sure we had enough rooms, and so incredibly fun to work with. The students really enjoyed their time, and it was a true relief to know that we were in such good hands, especially with Tropical Depression Bill shutting down the campus. The dorms looked fantastic too by the way!”
… Alex Kappus, New Student Services, and campus partners who received this feedback from a parent about the orientation fanfare initiative: “I thought the orientation was excellent today. We felt very welcomed and I love how our path from the garage was lined with balloons and students to help us get to the right place!”
… the Student Activities staff, who received this note from a member of the Lutheran Campus Ministry: “Thank you for successfully organizing the six new student orientation fairs. This was a successful venue for our organization to create awareness about our mission and begin building meaningful relationships with the students as they begin their time at UT. I applaud you for efforts to include us.”
